Description

This article provides steps to monitor a Linux vCenter server.

Environment

N-able N-central 9.4 and later

Solution

Discovering a Linux vCenter server

1. Click Actions > Run a Discovery.

Note: Use Virtualization Discovery credentials for vCenter. These must be valid Credentials for vCenter.

2. Select a Discovering Probe and go to Virtualization tab.

3. Select the box and enter admin rights credentials for the vCenter server.

4. Save to Run Now.

Once the device is discovered, it will reflect as Server, Generic or Other.

5. Import it, and then change the device class to Servers - ESXi.
