N-able Backup (N-able N-central) produces many Product Status Failed messages

Description

  • Receiving a lot of product status failed and returned to normal alerts on review

Environment

  • Cove Data Protection
  • N-able N-central

Solution

  1. Log into N-able N-central and navigate to device in question.
  2. Go to Settings > Maintenance Window
  3. Click Add and add Scheduled Maintenance.
  4. Set the following for the maintenance window:
    1. Features > Custom
    2. Select N-able Backup Install and Reboot
    3. Scheduled Configuration
    4. Action will be taken on the device = Immediately when required or Only during the scheduled window when required
  5. Click Save
  6. Await for the upgrade to complete based on schedule made
