• Failing to install Report Manager due to the following error:

  • Error 1609. An error occurred while applying security settings.NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE is not a valid user or group.This could be a problem with the package, or a problem connecting to a domain controller on the network.

Environment

• N-able N-central
• Report Manager

Solution

• The most likely cause of this is due the language defined on the server is set to a language other than English
• Please have the OS language set to English and try the installation again.
  • NOTE: All software, including the OS, must be the English version.
• If it's set to another language, Report Manager will not be able to complete installation.
