How to configure SNMP Sysname as Discovered Name during the discovery

Description

• Use SNMP Sysname instead of the IP Address of network devices (eg. swithces, routers and access points).

Environment

• N-able N-central

Solution

1. Go to Customer specific site.
2. Go to left panel Administration Menu.
3. Select Defaults Sub Menu.
4. Select Device Defaults.
5. Under Discovered name in the right panel, put a check to Use SNMP Sysname or Discovered Name and the Propagate Boxes.
6. Click Save.
7. Run a discovery job for the network devices (router and access point).
