How to adjust the Patch Cache for the Windows Software Probe

Description

• You're looking to adjust the Patch Cache settings on the Probe.
• Some reasons may include:
  • Moving the cache to a larger disk
  • Enabling cache on another probe
  • Forcing an update of the cache location to Agents at the site.

Environment

• N-able N-central

Solution

• You can adjust the probe's Patch Cache settings within the Probe Settings in N-able N-central .
• To access the Probe Settings, you'll need to follow this procedure:

1. Navigate to the appropriate level
2. Select Administration > Probes
3. Select the probe in question
4. Select the Caching tab
5. If it's not enabled, enable the option for 'Enable Patch Data Persistence'
6. Adjust the Maximum Patch Cache Size and Cache Location as appropriate for the environment
7. Select Save
