How to Group for Customers

Description

Sometimes you may want to separate your customers into separate groups. For example customers with their own internal IT support from the ones that do not have their own internal IT support.

Environment

N-able N-central

Solution

You have a couple of options here.

The first would be to get an additional Service Organization (SO) License and place your " internal IT support" customers under one SO and your customers "without IT support" in the other.
The issue with this is it means that any of your SO level configurations you would need tom manage twice (once under each SO)
You also can not move customers or devices from one SO to another so you would need to create new entries for your customers under the new SO and then re deploy their devices.
If you are interested in this you will need to contact your account representative in order to get the SO license(s) added to your server.

The other option would be to use a naming convention to separate them.
Since all of the customer names show up alphabetically in N-able N-central you could name the two sets of customers separately. Just add a prefix in front of one group (or both) then all Customers in that group would be grouped together.
