Failed Remote Desktop connectivity test

Description

  • Failed Remote Desktop connectivity test. This could be because Remote Desktop has been disabled or misconfigured.

Environment

  • N-able N-central 10 and above
  • N-able RMM

Solution

  • Restart RDP services.
  • Check the Advanced System Settings in windows -> Remote tab, make sure the option for Remote Desktop is enabled.
  • Check if device firewall is blocking RDP connection (TCP port 3389 and UDP port 3389)
