• SharePoint backup fails with the error 'SharePoint component "SharePoint_Config" is unavailable. Please ensure that "SQL Server VSS Writer" service is started'

  • Backup & Recovery
• N-able N-central
  • N-able Backup
• Backup Manager version 15.7 or higher

Solution

• A two-tier configuration (SharePoint databases and SharePoint Web Server are on different machines) is not supported
