Description
- Edit backup data sources from Backup Manager even when a profile is applied to the device
- Can't edit backup data sources in Backup Manager because it has a message saying it has been locked by an administrator
Environment
- Cove Data Protection
- N-able N-central
Solution
- Edit profile to keep local settings
- In N-able N-central:
- Go to Cove Data Protection > N-able Backup > Profiles
- Select profile to edit
- Go to Data sources tab
- Click dropdown list next to data source to edit > Keep local settings (Do not overwrite the device)
- Save profile
- In N-able Backup standalone:
- Log into Backup & Recovery Web Console
- Click on Backup profiles in left-hand menu
- Select profile to edit
- Go to Data sources tab
- Click dropdown list next to data source to edit > Keep local settings (Do not overwrite the device)
- Save profile
- In N-able N-central:
- Profiles apply in 15-30 minutes, or when the Backup Service Controller restarts, whichever comes first
