Domain User Management - domains not showing

Description

  • This article describes what to do when Domain User Management does not display any domains.

Environment

  • N-able N-central

Solution

  • Steps to complete to ensure proper configuration has been met in order to monitor a domain controller
  1. Check the customer site and verify that the domain controller is available and listed in the All Devices view.
  2. Confirm the agent version is version 10.0 or higher. If not, proceed to step 3. To check the agent version
  • Click on the devices 'Settings tab'
  • Click on The sub tab listed as 'Local Agent'
3. Upgrade agent or reinstall the latest agent version (10.0 or higher). This can be done by
  • Click on the devices 'Settings tab'
  • Click on The sub tab listed as 'Local Agent'
  • Select the 'Now' Option in this selection box' Update New Version:'
4. Update asset info and wait for few minutes. This can be done by
  • Clicking on the 'Add Task' button and then by clicking 'Update Asset Info'
5. Domain User Management should show the Active Directory contents.
