Description
This article provides steps to disable or suspend notifications in N-able N-central version 10.1 or later.
Environment
- N-able N-central version 10.1 or later
Solution
Disable a Notification:
You can disable a notification to prevent it from being sent on the status of the services and devices specified in the profile.
Note: This feature is available at the System Administrator and Customer/Site-level but not at the SO-level.
1. In the navigation pane, click Configuration > Monitoring > Notifications.
2. In the Notifications screen, select the notification profiles that you would like to disable.
Note: If the notification you are trying to disable was created at the SO-level, it cannot be modified at the Customer-level and the check box will be invalid.
3. Under More Actions, select Disable.
The notification profile is disabled and Disabled is displayed for the profile in the Status column.
Suspend a Notification:
You can quickly suspend notifications generated during normal operation of N-able N-central (for example, during an upgrade or device testing scenario). All levels below the level you select will be affected in the same way. For example, suspensions at the SO level will also affect Customers and Sites.
Note: Suspending notifications is a grantable permission and should be restricted to the System or Product Administrators.
1. Click the bell icon on the Utility menu.
2. Move the Global Notification Status slider to OFF.
3. At the prompt, click OK.
