Description

You can configure the default values for each of the service parameters. N-able N-central displays the relevant service parameters as configurable fields on the Service Details screens for each service. Each service may have different parameters.

Solution

To set the default parameters:

1. In the left-hand navigation menu, click Administration > Service Management.
2. Click Default Parameters.
   The Modify and propagate service parameter defaults screen appears.
3. In the Default column, specify the default for each service parameter. For information about the parameters, refer to the online help for the individual services.
4. If you would like to apply the default settings to all of the existing service instances, select the check box in the Propagate column.
   Warning: If you select Propagate for the CPU, Disk, Log Analysis (Appended), and Process services, the existing settings for these services are overwritten. These services monitor the N-able N-centralserver's log files, agents, and probes.
5. In the bottom right, click Save.
   The defaults are saved and applied to any new instances of the service and, if you selected Propagate, to all of the existing instances.
