Description

• Event Logs on the probe server showing DCOM errors similar to the following:

DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer x.x.x.x using any of the configured protocols

Environment

• N-able N-central

Solution

1. The probe is doing a discovery job and a side effect of the job running is causing DCOM errors in the event log of the probe server.

2. In some cases this can also be resolved by enabling DNS Scavenging which helps the system clean up DNS entries that have been reallocated or are no longer in use.
3. This should have no impact on the ability of the probe or agents to continue functioning normally.
