Description

This article describes how to configure timezone in N-able N-central.

The timezone on the N-central server must match the timezone of the backup. Restoring a backup on a server with a different timezone can cause issues and prevent a successful restore.

During the restore process, N-central checks if the timezone of the new server matches the timezone of the backup. If they don't match, the restore will fail.

Environment

N-able N-central version 10.0 or later

Solution

Before restoring the backup, note the original N-central server’s timezone setting.

  1. Navigate to Administration > Mail Network Settings > Network Setup.

  2. Install N-central on the server. If the server’s timezone does not match the backup, change it in the N-central UI.

    1. Go to Administration > Mail and Network Settings > Network Setup.

    2. Select the appropriate timezone to match the backup.

    3. Click Save.
