Configure SNMP Windows Service of a server

Description
This article provides steps to configure SNMP Windows Service of a server to enable Hardware Monitoring.
Environment
- N-able N-central
Solution
- In Windows, click 'Start' > 'Control Panel' > 'Administrative Tools' > 'Services'.
- Double-click 'SNMP Service'.
- Select the 'Security' tab.
- Note: if you have just installed the SNMP Feature, this may not be visible until a reboot occurs.
- Under 'Accepted Community Names', click 'Add'.
- In the 'Community rights drop-down list, select 'READ ONLY'.
- Enter a Community Name', for example, public.
- Click 'Add'.
- Select 'Accept SNMP Packets from any host' and click 'OK' (you could also lock this down to only the Probe).
