Description

This article describes how to monitor Cisco NSS324 NAS in N-able N-central.

Environment

All N-able N-central versions

Solution

  1. Configure and enable the device NASS324 NAS with SNMP V1 and V2C String PublIc and default ports.
  2. Run a discovery with only the specific IP number of the device and SNMP version V2C added then schedule to run now.
  3. After discovery is completed, import the NAS discovered device with the default device name, class, operating system and professional license.
  4. Get in to the device > Monitoring > Monitoring Options > Enable SNMP in N-able N-centralV2C with Public string then save.
  5. Wait for about 10 minutes, and check the monitoring tab of the NAS device.
  6. Notice that SNMP services were added, adjust threshold for those services that shows failed and warning status based on the actual device configuration.
  7. Save the updated services.
