Description
This article provides steps on checking if an application can be uninstalled by the Uninstall software object on Automation Manager.
Environment
N-able N-central
Solution
- Open Automation Manager from the 'SO level' > 'Actions' > 'Automation Manager'.
- Create a 'new policy' and put your preferred name for it.
- From the object list, drag the Software inventory object. 'Save' and upload the policy once done.
- Once the policy has been successfully uploaded, from the All devices view, select the devices where you want to test the policy. 'Click on Add task' > 'Run an Automation policy'.
- From the scheduled tasks screen, input a name, select Local system under credentials, then select the policy you have created from the policy list. Click on 'Save' once done.
- Click on Job status to check on the progress of the automation policy. Once completed, click on the job name and download the output file generated by the task.
- From the output, if the third column is set to True, then that means you can uninstall it from Automation Manager using the 'Uninstall Software' object.
