Behavior of disabled scheduled tasks

Description

• We need to verify behavior of 'pending' tasks once a scheduled task has been disabled. Do pending tasks on a cancelled/disabled scheduled task auto clear or stop?

Environment

• N-able N-central

Solution

• If the devices are in "In progress" status during the time the scheduled task was disabled, the device will continue to run the task.
• If the devices are in "Pending" status during the time the scheduled task was disabled, there are 2 scenarios:

1. Devices can be in Pending state if they're offline when the task was deployed, the task will not run since the task command has not been received.
2. Devices can be in Pending state if they're too busy to run the task, the task will still run since the command has been issued and queued.
