• This article will show you how to apply agent codedrop manually.

Environment

• N-able N-central

Solution

Depends on the agent code drop, you need to check the CodeDropMeta.xml to see where each file should go.

1. Stop the Windows Agent Services which include the Windows Agent & Windows Agent Maintenance services
2. Navigate to the location as specified in the CodeDropMeta.xml
3. Depending on the codedrop, some codedrops has 2 or more files that needs to be replaced. Unpack the codedrop and copy the files to the location specified in step 2 and overwrite.
4. Right click the file and choose properties, ensure the operating system has not blocked them on the general tab. Click unblock if it is.
5. Restart the Agent services stopped in step 1..
