Solution

When using N-able N-central Remote Desktop remote control method the following message may be seen before the actual connection is established which prevents the connection.

'An authentication error has occurred. The token supplied to the function is invalid. Remote Computer 127.0.0.1'

This message will appear in a Java Window message box




One tested\working solution would be to follow these steps
  1. Click 'Start' > 'Accessories' > 'Remote Desktop Connection'
  2. Click the 'General tab', and check the box called 'Always Ask for Credentials'.
  3. Click 'Save'.
