210 Unable to connect to remote network resource

Description

• The following error appears during agent installation:
  • 210 Unable to connect to remote network resource. \\IP_address\ADMIN$ User= DOMAIN\Username Exception = 53 : The network path was not found.

Environment

• N-able N-central

Solution

• The most likely reason for this is because the probe is unable to connect to the target device successfully to install the agent
• To confirm, please do the following:
  1. Confirm the steps for Group Policy Changes.
  2. Logon to the probe with DOMAIN\Username.
  3. Attempt to access the device using

  •  '\\IP_address\ADMIN$'

    If this fails this is because the ADMIN$ does not exist. ADMIN$ is created when File & Printer Sharing is enabled.
