205 Device IP not reachable SNMP++: SNMP request timed out

Description

• SNMP monitoring services report as misconfigured or failed with the following message:
  • Error: 205 Device IP not reachable SNMP++: SNMP request timed out.

• The device is reachable from the monitoring device on Port 161 and other SNMP monitoring works as intended.

Environment

• N-able N-central

Solution

• Go to Settings > Monitoring Options > SNMP Settings

• Increase the default SNMP timeout value setting, for example from 500 ms to 5000 ms.
